Digital Nomad, Digital Native, Content Geek

My career in journalism began in the summer of 1992, with a radio station internship in Barbados. I lived and worked as a journalist between Barbados and Trinidad for more than a decade, editing my first magazine, managing 15+ writers, illustrators and photographers at the age of 25. It is in this period my love of content was born. My fascination with the Internet, begun as experiments with Commodore 64s and large black rotary phones as a little girl, gave way to a true passion for emerging technologies and the budding marriage with good content.

I have, over the years, been one of the Caribbean’s most vocal advocates for the useful adoption of internet technologies, invited to speak at workshops and panel discussions in Washington D.C., Barbados & Port-of-Spain.

I’ve built hundreds of web sites for small businesses, governmental organisations and non-profit organisations across the Caribbean, North America, Great Britain & Europe, as well as training dozens of users in content management.

My unique experience as both a journalist and a web developer has given me strong capabilities making me an adept at combining the two specialities.
